Senior Research Associate (Fixed-term for 2 years)

Salary on appointment will be £37,099 per annum, with an annual increment up to £44,263 per annum.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Research Associate to join Norwich Business School to contribute to CROSSEU (Cross-sectoral framework for socio-economic resilience to climate change and extreme events in Europe), a European collaborative project in which the University of East Anglia is a leading partner.

You will be involved in the econometric modelling of the impact of extreme weather events on income inequality in Europe using a combination of macroeconomic and climate data. You will be responsible for identifying, extracting, and writing or modifying existing code to analyse, mine or aggregate spatial data (where needed), building on an existing method and approach used to create similar models, as well as supporting the writing of associated presentations, reports and papers.

You will have (or be near completion of) a PhD in Economics, Econometrics, Data Science or an equivalent field, and will be able to meet all essential criteria detailed in the candidate brochure.

This full-time post is available from 14 October 2024 for an initial period of 2 years, with the possibility of extension.
