Lecturer in Clinical Pharmacy (Independent Prescribing and post-registration programmes for Pharmacists) (0.4FTE)

Salary on appointment will be £46,974 per annum (pro rata), dependent on skills and experience, with an annual increment up to £54,395 per annum (pro rata). 

Consistent popularity means the University of East Anglia are looking to recruit a Lecturer in Clinical Pharmacy to the postgraduate training team. 

In this role you will contribute to the delivery of our Independent Prescribing programme primarily. You will be responsible for the design and delivery of key educational themes for postgraduate pharmacists undertaking prescribing training, including leadership of teaching and assessment pertaining to your clinical specialism.  
 
You will create and deploy engaging, innovative, technology enhanced learning and assessment to support the acquisition of autonomous pharmacy practice skills, including prescribing. You will also take on a portfolio assessment role in common with all team members, both in house and as part of the national Royal Pharmaceutical Society Credentialling process and support teaching and assessment across all postgraduate professional programmes. 

The ideal candidate will be a practitioner of broad clinical and operational experience, who is also a practicing non-medical prescriber. This is a brilliant opportunity for a clinician looking to expand into a portfolio career that includes academia, but with a continuing commitment to their own clinical development. You will be motivated by both excellence in clinical academic practice and the exemplary provision of patient care, influencing your approach to developing prescribing pharmacist practitioners of an exceptional standard.

This part-time (0.4FTE) post is available from 1 November 2024 on an indefinite basis. 

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Appointment will be subject to a criminal record check at Enhanced level from the Disclosure and Barring Service, including a check of the Child and Adult Barred Lists.
