Faculty Widening Participation Administrative Assistant

Salary on appointment will be £22,681 per annum with an annual increment up to £24,533 per annum.
We are seeking an organised, proactive, and flexible team player to join our established outreach team.
You will be managed by the Faculty Outreach Manager and will provide logistical support and coordination of the University’s range of faculty-focused Outreach activities, working closely with the Widening Participation Academic Leads.
These activities include subject-specific longitudinal programmes, projects and one day events. You will also be responsible for the provision of project support to Outreach colleagues.
Facilitating the smooth running of the above projects and events involves tasks such as liaising with a range of internal and external stakeholders, receiving and processing applications, overseeing multiple inboxes, coordinating student ambassadors, booking venues, rooms and travel, and working closely with academic and outreach colleagues.
You will have:
- Five GCSEs at Grades A-C (including Mathematics and English) or equivalent qualifications or experience.
- Experience of providing administrative, logistical or support services to a team.
- Excellent organisation skills and strong attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
- The ability to work autonomously and independently.
- Proven competency in IT skills (Outlook, Excel, Word,Teams and databases).
- A keen interest in promoting, and broadening access to, higher education and UEA.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Appointment will be subject to a criminal record check at Enhanced level from the Disclosure and Barring Service, including a check of the Child Barred List. This full-time post is available immediately on an indefinite basis.
