Faculty Outreach Project Officer

Salary on appointment will be £29,605 per annum, with an annual increment up to £36,024 per annum. 

We are seeking a motivated and passionate team player with excellent interpersonal skills to join our established Outreach team. This role will focus on the organisation, design and delivery of faculty outreach initiatives for young people who are currently under-represented within Higher Education.

You will be involved in the design and delivery of subject-specific projects, including but not limited to: multi-touchpoint programmes Preparing for Medicine and Preparing for Pharmacy. You will work closely with Widening Participation Academic Leads (WPALs) across different subjects, while situated within a small Faculty Administrative support team that are responsible for the organisation and day-to-day delivery of faculty-led events.

You should have:

  • Excellent project management and communication skills, with proven experience in organising and running complex programmes and events.
  • The ability to meet multiple deadlines and demonstrate good time management with excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to work well with a variety of stakeholders, as well as autonomously and within a team.
  • A keen interest in widening access to Higher Education.

This full-time post is available from 5 August 2024 on a fixed-term basis for two years.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Appointment will be subject to a criminal record check at Enhanced level from the Disclosure and Barring Service, including a check of the Child Barred List.
