Salary will be £23,959 per annum pro rata (£12.71 per hour).
Catering & Hospitality Assistants play a super-important role in the UEA’s ‘The Campus Kitchen’ in providing efficient support for barista and food service throughout the day.
Working in any of our 13 outlets and busy hospitality department, you will assist with preparation and service of food and drinks, delivered catering, keeping our outlets clean and tidy, and even assisting at a variety of functions and events. If you are keen to work in UEA’s busy food & drink outlets and have good experience in front of house service, this role could be perfect for you!
Is this role for me?
You will demonstrate the ability to work hard within a fast-paced environment; knowledge and experience of working busy catering outlets; consistently demonstrate great customer service; display enthusiasm and have a willingness to support your team.
Previous experience of working in a hospitality environment with some barista training or experience is preferable but not essential.
There are 2 part-time posts available, both working 14.5 hours per week.
One post is working all year round and second post is working term time only, 39 weeks per year.
You will be required to work 2 out of 7 days, predominantly weekend shifts with the potential for change to suit business need.
This post is based in the UEA Campus Kitchen, University of East Anglia, Norwich, Norfolk, UK.
