Student Visa Compliance and US Federal Loans Senior Administrative Assistant

 Salary on appointment will be £26,707 per annum, with an annual increment up to £30,378 per annum. 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Administrative Assistant to join the Student Visa Compliance team as part of the Admissions Service.

Student Visa Compliance are responsible for two key areas of regulatory compliance. UEA is licensed by the Home Office to sponsor international students to study in the UK under the Student Route. As a participating Foreign School in the US Title IV Aid program, UEA is also authorised to administer US Federal Student Aid for eligible students. Student Visa Compliance are responsible for ensuring that the University meets the regulatory requirements of both of these programs.
 
The team provides support in relation to the recruitment, admission, monitoring and reporting of students requiring UK immigration permission and study visas.

You will provide information and support for University staff and students on all aspects of UK Study visas, the Points Based System and visa compliance matters relating to students. You will also provide information and guidance to eligible students on applying and maintaining eligibility for US Federal Student Aid and support the University in preparation for annual audits.
 
Attention to detail, with the ability to understand and follow protocols to process data, together with strong IT skills are essential. Full training will be available.

This full-time post is available immediately, on a fixed-term basis until 19 April 2027, covering the secondment of the substantive postholder.
