Salary on appointment will be £24,685 per annum (pro rata), with an annual increment up to £26,093 per annum (pro rata)
We are looking for a customer-focused individual to join our busy helpdesk team in the University Library. The role provides a varied working environment dealing directly with users to provide an excellent customer experience both of our in-building resources and the UEA Digital Library. We seek applications from candidates with experience from all kinds of customer service environments who enjoy working within a user-focused team to create a friendly and welcoming environment.
You must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and web-based applications, and be confident assisting users in a front-facing environment as well as through email, telephone and online chat. You will be enthusiastic about supporting all our users equally to access our services and use your own judgements to make adjustments as necessary to meet the needs of our diverse user community. Excellent written communications skills and high attention to detail are essential for this role. Most of all, you will be a team worker capable of managing your own time and collaborating closely with your colleagues.
This part-time (0.8 FTE) post is available on a fixed term basis for up to 12 months, working Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and is campus based. The hours of work are 10:30 to 18:30.
