Research Systems UAT and Configuration Specialist

Starting salary from £31,236 per annum (pro rata), dependent on skills and experience, with an annual increment up to £37,694 per annum (pro rata).
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Research Systems User Acceptance Testing and Configuration Specialist to join the Research and Innovation Directorate. The role will provide professional services support for the University’s research information management system (Pure - Elsevier), ensuring successful user acceptance testing (UAT) and technical configuration during mandated security and system updates. The role safeguards data integrity, system interoperability, and user experience while meeting external compliance obligations for research visibility and reporting.

You will have two A levels and five GCSEs at grades A-C (including mathematics and English) or equivalent qualifications or experience. It is essential that you have proven experience in user acceptance testing and system configuration, experience with research information systems and excellent problem solving and analytical skills. You will be able to meet all essential criteria detailed in the person specification within the candidate brochure.
This part-time (0.8 FTE) post is available from 8 April 2026 on a fixed-term basis for 2 years.
