Salary on appointment will be £26,707 per annum (pro rata), with an annual increment up to £30,378 per annum (pro rata)
Applications are invited for the post of Research Technician to assist in the delivery of a research project under the supervision of Professor Anne Marie Minihane.
This proof of principle study aims to generate pilot data (using a n-of-1 study design) to support the benefits of a dietary supplement on brain health in mid-life in women. You will be involved in the recruitment of the participant, the organisation of their clinical visits to conduct brain MRI, the collection of cognitive and other questionnaire based data and the process of biological samples. If time allows there is also the possibility to assist with the data analysis from a previous completed trial (The CANN study) to support a planned publication.
You will have a degree (or equivalent professional experience) in nutrition, biomedical sciences, neurosciences, medical imaging or other relevant subject. Experience of conducted human research would be an advantage although not essential.
The nature of the role may require some flexibility to work outside normal working hours.
This part-time (0.2 FTE/7.25 hours per week) post is available on fixed term basis for up to 9 months.
