About the Role:

Technical Support (Identity and Access Management)
Ref: TC929

Salary on appointment will be £26,707 per annum, with an annual increment up to £30,378 per annum.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Support (Identity and Access Management) to join the University's Identity and Access Management team within the IT & Computing Services. The role supports the institution’s mission to deliver secure, resilient, and well-governed digital services across teaching, research and administration.

You will provide first-line support for a bespoke Identity and Access Management (IAM) system, assisting with user access provisioning, authentication troubleshooting, and identity lifecycle tasks. The role also involves maintaining the underlying operating system that hosts the IAM platform, including patching, basic configuration, and testing activities to ensure system stability and security.

This is a hands-on opportunity for someone early in their IT career to build foundational skills in both IAM and system administration. Over the next few years, the role will evolve to support the transition to a commercial IAM product, offering exposure to enterprise-grade identity solutions and the chance to grow into a more advanced technical position.
