Head of Research Governance, Integrity and Compliance

Starting salary from 48,822 per annum, dependent on skills and experience, with an annual increment up to £56,535 per annum.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Research Governance, Integrity and Compliance to join the Research and Innovation Service (RIN) to lead the development, implementation and oversight of research governance, integrity and compliance frameworks within the University in support of research and innovation activities. This role ensures that all research and innovation activities comply with regulatory requirements, ethical standards and University policies.
You will keep abreast of the national research culture landscape, advising the University on funder, regulatory and legislative requirements. Whilst actively supporting best research practices and compliance requirements, you will also be the University’s administrative lead for any research misconduct investigations. You will take ultimate responsibility in RIN for research integrity and research ethics, working with all stakeholders on relevant issues to maintain the highest standards of research integrity and compliance.
You will have a Degree in a relevant field such as law, ethics or a scientific discipline. Extensive experience in research governance, integrity, compliance or a related field as well as the ability to produce accurate and effective reports for management, audit and risk assessment in a timely manner. In addition, an ability to work well under pressure, manage a concurrent workload of different issues, respond to shifting priorities and meet deadlines is essential.

This full-time post is available from 3 November 2025 on an indefinite basis.
