Senior Research Associate

Salary on appointment will be £38,249 per annum (pro rata), with an annual increment up to £45,413 per annum (pro rata).
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Research Associate join the School of Global Development to conduct studies on social-cultural aspects of European seas and coastal ecosystems.
As a Senior Research Associate you will be part of the MARBEFES project team. You will liaise with the wider project team to analyse social science datasets and develop outputs based on MARBEFES data collection. You will work closely with the UEA team lead in the School of Global Development (Dr Johanna Forster).
You will have a postgraduate level qualification, equivalent qualification or experience in a relevant research area. You will also have experience of independent research, a good understanding of the social and cultural aspects of coasts across European seas. You will have proven evidence of working in an inclusive way with diverse communities and strong interpersonal and communication skills. You will be able to meet all essential criteria detailed in the candidate brochure.
This full-time post is available from 1 October 2025 on a fixed-term basis for 11 months.
