An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Research Associate to join the School of Health Sciences at UEA to coordinate and support the delivery of work under the Academic Career Development programme within the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration (ARC) East of England. The Academic Career Development programme supports research capacity building through a range of training opportunities at the predoctoral, doctoral, and postdoctoral levels. Funded by NIHR ARC East of England, the post holder will work closely with the Academic Career Development Lead, Dr Naoko Kishita, contributing to the design, delivery, and enhancement of these training opportunities within the Academic Career Development programme. You will be expected to evaluate these initiatives and contribute to dissemination activities through appropriate writing outputs.
 
The role offers opportunities for wider collaboration within NIHR ARC East of England to support your own professional development. You will be expected to demonstrate initiative and take responsibility for planning and managing aspects of your own research activities related to work of the Academic Career Development programme, while engaging with senior academic colleagues for guidance as needed.
 
To succeed in this role, you will be an experienced and professional researcher, with a background in postgraduate research and/or prior experience as a Grade 6 Research Associate. You will have experience of conducting independent research, a record of publications in respected journals, and excellent organisational and administrative skills to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
 
This full-time post is available from 21 July 2025 on a fixed-term basis until 31 March 2026. Hybrid working can be considered, provided you are able to attend all required face-to-face meetings and events.
