Grounds Maintenance Operative

Salary on appointment will be £23,414 per annum (plus snow clearance allowance).
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join the Estates Grounds Team
In this role, you’ll undertake routine maintenance tasks, including mowing, trimming, litter picking, and mechanical street sweeping.
You’ll contribute to creating a safe, aesthetically pleasing environment for students, staff and visitors to the University. The role also involves supporting seasonal activities such as snow clearing and leaf clearance.
You will need a valid UK driving licence (with no more than 3 penalty points), an ability to work outdoors, interpersonal and communication skills and an interest in grounds maintenance work. You’ll also need to be able to participate in our snow and ice clearance rota.

This full-time post is available immediately on an indefinite basis.
Appointment will be subject to a criminal record check at Basic level from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
