Accounts Assistant

Salary on appointment will be £24,344 per annum, with an annual increment up to £25,733 per annum.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Assistant to join the Finance and Planning Division.
The key duties of this role will include processing the daily cashbook and allocating all incoming funds received in the bank, as well as performing daily reconciliations of bank statements and control accounts. You will be responsible for investigating unidentified receipts and providing supporting information to both Internal and External Auditors. Additionally, you will assist the Senior Accounts Assistant in maintaining reconciliations and registers of payment terminals. The role also involves handling all aspects of debt collection and monitoring inbox queries, responding to them as required.
Recent experience of working with modern computerised accounting systems is essential, as well as good working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office software. You will have independent investigative skills, excellent interpersonal skills and accuracy and attention to detail, and be able to meet all the essential criteria detailed in the person specification.
This full-time post is available from immediately on an indefinite basis.
