PGR Administrator - Enquiries and Engagement

Starting salary from £25,138 per annum, dependent on skills and experience, with an annual increment up to £28,759 per annum
The Postgraduate Research (PGR) Service is seeking to appoint a full-time Administrator to provide outstanding front-line professional support to research applicant, student and other visitor enquiries, and research student engagement monitoring.
Key duties of the role include taking a proactive role in providing a customer-focussed service to enquirers, applicants, students, staff and visitors; managing the administrative assistant in the team; implementing office systems and processes and ensuring that these are operating efficiently and effectively; bringing forward proposals for change/improvement in liaison with the wider Postgraduate Research Service; and undertaking some planning of office activity within the framework of the academic year.
You will have experience of dealing with customers and working in a busy administrative role, together with strong communication and organisational skills. You will be able to work independently as well as part of a team and provide high levels of customer service in a timely and professional manner.
You must have a minimum of two A-levels at Grades A-E and five GCSEs at Grades A-C including Mathematics and English Language, or equivalent qualifications, or equivalent experience. You will also need proven IT skills using Microsoft Office packages, and to be able to satisfy all other essential criteria in the person specification for the post.
The post is offered from 7 August 2024 on a full-time, indefinite basis.
Whilst the PGR Service works a hybrid model, the role holder will be expected to work at least three days on campus with the flexibility to attend campus on further days subject to workload, attendance at in-person PGR Service meetings, training or events.
