An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Research Associate to join the School of Biological Sciences to conduct studies on the reproductive strategies of fruit flies.

The aim of the project is to work with the Senior Research Associate on a project that aims to measure the benefits of different sexual strategies and to determine the conditions that allow them to coexist within populations. You will do this by assisting with experiments to (i) directly measure the success of sexual strategies in wild populations and in males engineered to adopt one or other sexual strategy, (ii) measure the form of selection acting on these strategies, and (iii) identify the underlying signatures at the level of the genome.
