Research Associate (fixed term to 30 April 2026)
Ref: RA2225
Salary on appointment will be £29,605 per annum, with an annual increment up to £36,024 per annum
We are seeking a highly motivated researcher to join the iACT4CARERS project team (https://iact4carers.com/). This project is funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (https://fundingawards.nihr.ac.uk/award/NIHR150071).
The iACT4CARERS project aims to evaluate the clinical and cost effectiveness of internet-delivered Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for family carers of people with dementia in a full-scale randomised controlled trial. Our trial, currently delivered across 20 NHS services, has already enrolled over 270 family carers in just under seven months since its launch.
As part of this successful trial team, you will work alongside researchers and clinicians both in the UK and internationally. You will be based in the office at the University of East Anglia in Norwich, and therefore, this position is not suitable for remote working. Your responsibilities will include collecting data, monitoring research progress, and ensuring the achievement of research objectives. You will work closely with another Research Associate on the team. Additionally, you will contribute to data analysis and the dissemination of the research project's findings. The iACT4CARERS project places a strong emphasis on reaching a diverse group of family carers, including those from ethnic minority groups. This role will provide you with the opportunity to collaborate with various patient and public representatives.
We are seeking a researcher with experience in conducting dementia studies or applied health studies in related areas. It is essential that the candidate has experience working with vulnerable populations and has been actively involved in research.
This full-time post is available from 1 August 2024, or as soon as possible thereafter, until 30 April 2026.
