Clinical Associate Professor in Medical Education (part-time 0.6FTE)

We are seeking to appoint an experienced medical educationalist, with exceptional leadership skills, to act as Course Director for Graduate Entry Medicine. This is a unique opportunity to lead the development and implementation of a new Primary Medical Qualification award in an already established and successful Medical School. Norwich Medical School has earned itself a reputation for producing high quality graduates who are amongst the best prepared for practice in the UK with a clear student-centred experience. Graduate Entry Medicine is a new 4 year programme in Norwich Medical School and is a direct response to the Long Term Workforce Plan. Following recent expansion of Medical School Places, Graduate Entry Medicine will launch with its first cohort of students in September 2025.
As Course Director, you will provide leadership and direction to the curriculum design and delivery of the Graduate Entry Medicine course and build the course team, whilst drawing on established infrastructure and experience across the Medical School. Working closely with Practice Partners, Head of Department of Medical Education, Director of Strategy, Teaching and Learning, Director of Admissions, Head of Assessment and Dean of Medicine, you will also ensure the quality assurance and delivery of the Graduate Entry Medicine, ensuring compliance with UEA and GMC regulations.
This part-time (0.6FTE) post is available from 2 September 2024 on an indefinite basis and is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and appointment will be subject to a criminal record check at Enhanced level from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
