You will be a member of the Student Life Team and will see students for individual appointments, drop-ins and group sessions to provide advice, guidance and support covering a wide range of issues with a financial focus. You will also correspond with students via email to answer queries and process financial support requests. You will ensure the student community have a positive student experience.
You will predominantly, but not exclusively, support students who may be struggling financially, the role will support students where possible with short-term finance issues and increase financial literacy in the long term. This may also include delivering talks and workshops to students, administrating other financial support options and signposting to other services where appropriate.
You will also act as a point of contact concerning financial queries and advice relating to University and government hardship funds, and support students with applications and/or appeals to the main funding bodies including Student Finance England (SFE) and the NHS.
You will work closely with other members of the Student Life Team, the wiser Student Services Team and colleagues in Schools of Studies and Professional Services across the University.
This part-time (0.6FTE/21.75 hours per week) post is available immediately on an indefinite basis.
