An exciting opportunity has arisen in the UEA Careers Service for a Careers Adviser. At UEA Career Central, we help students understand how their talents and abilities can fit in the wider world. Our guidance, workshops and experiences allow students to explore possible career pathways, whilst developing the attributes and resilience to achieve their ambitions. Through close collaboration with Schools and Academics across the University, we ensure students are aware of their options and are given opportunities from their first day until after they graduate. We work in partnership with thousands of organisations to ensure students experience different working environments to understand what is expected of them.
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated professional to help us continue to develop our support for students, apprentices and graduates. You will empower students to improve their employability and career potential, through the delivery of one-to-one appointments, and seminars and lectures to small and large groups. You will understand diverse student needs whilst also having the ability to broaden horizons and raise aspirations. Working with staff from a specified Faculty and/or Schools of Study, you will have the credibility to develop collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and organisations. You will be pivotal in providing consultancy and help create, coordinate and support the delivery of employability plans and initiatives.
