Associate Professor in Medical Education (PGT)

Salary on appointment will be £58,225 per annum with an annual increment up to £67,468 per annum. 

 An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate Professor to join Norwich Medical School. We are seeking an experienced educationalist to contribute and lead elements of our current provision in the Master of Clinical Education and Leadership programme. The postholder will contribute to teaching, supervision, and personal advising, of the MClinEd Lead students as well as undertaking observations of teaching to authenticate practice.

You will work with the School’s Teaching Director and other Post Graduate Taught courses in the School to support the response to the Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES) maximizing student experience. to plan, teach and assess appropriate topics at undergraduate and postgraduate level and supervise PhD students.   

Teaching is a key part of this role and as such you will be expected to teach on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes taking responsibility for the delivery and assessment of specific modules. This will include organising modules and developing teaching and learning materials. You will also take an active role in developing new and exciting modules and course programmes and promote enterprise and engagement at UEA. 

A PhD (or equivalent) in a relevant subject area with proven experience of teaching health professional students at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level is essential.  You will have evidence of leadership of course development and the use of a range of both innovative and traditional pedagogical practices. Line management experience is essential. Experience of managing enterprise and engagement projects and marketing Higher Education courses would be advantageous.

This full-time is available from 1 August 2026 on an indefinite basis.
