Pensions Manager

Starting salary from £38,784 per annum, dependent on skills and experience, with an annual increment up to £46,049 per annum.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Pensions Manager to join the Finance, Planning and Governance Division. This role will lead the delivery of a timely, accurate, professional, and customer focussed pension service to the University.
Key duties of the role include managing, supervising and supporting the University's pensions team, including undertaking annual appraisals and monitoring performance and development, as well as maintaining a comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of all relevant pension scheme rules, regulations and legislation, ensuring the University meets all contractual and statutory obligations.
The successful candidate will bring an excellent understanding of defined benefit and defined contribution pension schemes, alongside strong leadership skills and a commitment to continuous improvement. You will have a skill level equivalent to achievement of PMI, CIPP (full or part qualified), HND, Degree, NVQ4 or basic professional qualification and sound understanding and experience of integrated computer-based pension schemes.
This full-time post is available from 1 May 2026 on an indefinite basis.
