Clinical Associate Professor in Medical Education (Graduate Entry Medicine LIC Lead)

Salary will be in accordance with the applicable clinical academic salary scale for Clinical Associate Professor appointments, and dependent on skills and experience.
This exciting new appointment within Norwich Medical School forms part of the expanding team responsible for the development and delivery of the Graduate Entry Medicine (GEM) programme.
Norwich Medical School took its first intake of 30 GEM students in September 2025 with its first graduates due in July 2029. A core philosophy of GEM curriculum is a focus on coastal and rural healthcare, with a placement strategy designed to meet this vision.
As GEM LIC Lead, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for the design, development, and delivery of the Year 3 Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship (LIC).
LICs represent an innovative and strategic approach to clinical education, supporting high-quality learning, workforce development, and continuity of care.
During the placement, students will gain extensive exposure to the breadth of primary care presentations, participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) working, and engage in clinical governance processes. Students will also undertake a supervised Quality Improvement (QI) project, with the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to patient care and practice systems.
Working closely with the Graduate Entry Primary Care Lead, GEM Course Director, and an established network of GP Tutors, you will ensure the successful implementation of high-quality, community-based clinical education aligned to institutional and regulatory standards.
This part-time (0.2 FTE) post is available from 1 June 2026 on an indefinite basis.
