Salary on Lecturer appointment will be £48,822 per annum, dependent on skills and experience, with an annual increment up to £56,535 per annum. 

Salary on Associate Professor appointment will be £58,225 per annum, dependent on skills and experience, with an annual increment up to £67,468 per annum. 

We seek to appoint an exceptional academic to strengthen the Pharmaceutics content of our Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) Undergraduate programme and our new MSc Pharmaceutical Sciences and to successfully advance pharmaceutical sciences through interdisciplinary and innovative research. 

You will join the School of Chemistry, Pharmacy and Pharmacology. You will contribute to high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, including pastoral care and tutorials, preparation and delivery of lectures, exam setting and marking, and development and supervision of practical projects. 

You will have a strong record of internationally excellent research in the wide area of Pharmaceutics, Formulation and Drug Delivery and a clear strategy for the development of an externally funded independent research programme. You will seek to enhance our research profile in Pharmaceutics, complement our expertise in Pharmaceutics and Advanced Characterisation of Pharmaceutical Materials and increase engagement with industry and healthcare partners. 

You will access excellent opportunities for basic and clinical research with state-of-the-art core research facilities that are managed and supported by the Science Faculty at UEA. You will have the opportunity to integrate with several world-leading research initiatives and centres at the University of East Anglia and across the Norwich Research Park. The University also hosts a wealth of expertise in materials science, engineering, synthetic and analytical science, making this the perfect environment for the complementary scientific innovation that this role will bring. As part of the refurbishment plans, a new laboratory building for the Science Faculty is being constructed, with completion expected in early 2027, allowing for expansion in this area and providing a world class environment in which to conduct research.

These full-time posts are available from 1 August 2026 on an indefinite basis. 

Appointment will be considered at Lecturer or Associate Professor grades dependent on skills and experience.
