An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Research and Innovation Service for a Research Administrator to provide pre-award and post-award support for a range of research and innovation activities. You will be part of a team including Research Officers, Administrative Assistants and Research Finance Administrators, who support a given number of Schools, with the help of a range of specialist managers. 

You will support a number of schools in the preparation and submission of research grant and innovation proposals, maintain accurate electronic records and track the progress of ongoing project work. You will liaise with many internal departments and assist Research Officers with the preparation and follow up of collaboration. 

You will have Two A-levels at grades A-E and five GCSEs at grades A-C (inc. Maths and English Language), or equivalent qualifications or experience. Proven recent experience of working in a busy clerical or administrative role and an ability to establish rapport, form good working relationships and communicate effectively with people at all levels both internally and externally. You will be able to meet all the essential criteria as detailed in the candidate brochure.  

This full-time post is available from 15 December 2025 on an indefinite basis.
