Catering and Hospitality Assistant (Fixed term maternity cover)

Salary will be £23,350 per annum (£12.38 per hour)
Catering & Hospitality Assistants play a super-important role in the UEA’s ‘The Campus Kitchen’ in providing efficient support for barista and food service throughout the day.
Working in any of our 13 outlets and busy hospitality department, you will assist with preparation and service of food and drinks, delivered catering, keeping our outlets clean and tidy, and even assisting at a variety of functions and events.

Is this role for me?
You will demonstrate the ability to work hard within a fast-paced environment; consistently demonstrate great customer service; display enthusiasm and have a willingness to support your team.
Previous experience of working in a hospitality environment with some barista training or experience is preferred, but not essential.
You will be required to work 5 out of 7 days, including day, weekend and evening shifts.
This post is based in the UEA Campus Kitchen, University of East Anglia, Norwich, Norfolk, UK.
The vacancy is not eligible for VISA sponsorship, and you will need to hold or be able to obtain the right to work in the UK to undertake this role.

This full-time role is available from 1 December 2025 on a fixed term basis for up to 10 months to cover maternity leave.
