Starting salary from £30,805 per annum, dependent on skills and experience, with an annual increment up to £37,174 per annum.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate Category Manager to join the Procurement Service of the Finance and Planning Division of the University. 

Key duties of the role include driving cashable and cost avoidance non-pay savings for the University in order to support and enable the delivery of Strategy 2030. You will undertake these duties in the regulatory context of both the Procurement Act 2023 and Public Contract Regulations 2015, both of which will apply for the foreseeable future.

You will have demonstrable experience of using financial systems to research, interrogate and understand data, translating this into plans for improvement and evidence of delivering financial and quality improvements. An understanding of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and the Procurement Act 2023 is key to the delivery of the role.

This full-time post is available from 1 August 2025 on an indefinite basis. 

UEA offers a variety of flexible working options and although this role is advertised on a full-time basis, we encourage applications from individuals who would prefer a flexible working pattern including compressed working hours (over 4 days) or part time (0.8 FTE minimum).
