Starting salary from £67,757 per annum, dependent on skills and experience, with an annual increment up to £71,818 per annum.
The School of Social Work at UEA is an internationally recognised centre of excellence in social work research and teaching, ranking 4th for overall research quality in Social Work and Social Policy in REF 2021. It is also home to the highly successful Centre for Research on Children and Families.
We wish to appoint a Professor in Social Work who will contribute to our record of research and teaching excellence. The primary criteria for appointment will be the ability to provide strategic direction and research leadership and to continue to grow the research reputation of the School. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the development of a world-leading Social Work School.
You will have excellent leadership skills with a history of significant grant capture and experience in mentoring and developing research staff. Generating research grant income with local, national and international partnerships is also a key part of this role. Applications would be welcome from a senior academic with proven ability to develop and submit successful and substantial applications for external funding as the lead or co-applicant.
The post is available from 1 August 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter on a full-time, indefinite basis.
