Senior Category Manager

Starting salary from £47,874 per annum, dependent on skills and experience, with an annual increment up to £55,295 per annum.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Category Manager to join the Procurement and Insurance Team, situated within the Finance Division.
You will be responsible for delivering complex procurement activity in key categories as directed by the Deputy Director of Finance and Interim Associate Director of Procurement and operational support/mentoring for the Category Management team. Key responsibilities include responsibility for delivering strategic and complex procurement activities, embedding a proportionate and appropriate category management approach at UEA and working closely with the Business Partnering Team and budget holders to deliver projects against defined budgets.
You will be a member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) or have an equivalent level professional qualification or demonstrable equivalent knowledge gained through experience and have a demonstrable track record of continuous improvement and delivery of results in a variety of procurement settings within a complex organisation. A background in the conduct of estates management and/or construction procurement activities is desirable. You will be able to meet all essential criteria detailed in the candidate brochure.
This full-time post is available from 18 November 2024 on a fixed-term basis for 1 year.
