In this role, your main responsibility is to provide expert assistance and oversee postgraduate research administration for applicants, students, and supervisors within the Science Faculty. The role offers variety and you will be involved in all aspects of the postgraduate research student journey, from initial enquiries through to degree completion.
If successful, you will lead and manage the Science team, based in the Postgraduate Research Service. You will provide a point of specialist reference relating to postgraduate research degrees and administration for staff, applicants and students. Additionally, you will support the PGR Service Management Team.
We are seeking a proactive and adaptable candidate who can collaborate and negotiate effectively with colleagues and partners, coordinate information across a variety of systems and identify and drive focused projects and process improvements to benefit your team and the wider service.
You should have recent experience in a similar role, supporting a team and working with internal and external colleagues. You will meet all the essential criteria outlined in the person specification for the position.
The post is available from 1 October 2024 on an indefinite, full-time basis.
The PGR Service operates a hybrid model. The role holder is expected to work on-Campus with their team on Mondays and Thursdays, as well as at least one other flexible day on campus. You can vary this day based on workload, attendance at in-person PGR Service meetings, training or events. If preferred the possibility of full-time on Campus can be discussed during interview.
