Salary on appointment will be £24,685 per annum (pro rata), with an annual increment up to £26,093 per annum (pro rata).
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Administrative Assistant to undertakesecretarial and administrative duties to support the School of Education and Lifelong Learning’s ‘LIMITLESS 2’ research programme. LIMITLESS 2 is a National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Health and Social Care Delivery (HSDR) funded project aiming to improve the mental health of adolescents living in social care by improving the guidance available to support them.
Building on learning from LIMITLESS 1, LIMITLESS 2 aims to extend existing understanding of Adolescent-Focused Low-Intensity Life Story Work and use this to co-design and feasibility test a “LIMITLESS Toolkit” that aims to help carers optimise the delivery of Adolescent-Focused Low-Intensity Life Story Work to better support adolescents in care.
You will provide efficient, pro-active and high-quality support and assist LIMITLESS 2 Chief Investigator Dr Simon P Hammond and colleagues from within and beyond the University by undertaking a number of secretarial and administrative duties. These will include but are not limited to processing researchers’ travel expenses/claims, booking travel and accommodation for researchers and co-researchers, organising bi-annual programme-wide events (face-to-face and hybrid), taking minutes at formal project meetings and supporting the development of a microsite including copy for the website itself (content supplied by research team).
You will have a good standard of secondary education or equivalent experience in a similar role. Strong organisational, interpersonal and communication skills are essential as is the ability to manage a varied workload in a high-paced environment. Previous experience in procurement processes, budget management and/or updating websites and social media would be advantageous.
This part-time (0.13 FTE, 5 hours a week) post is available from 12 January 2026 on a fixed-term basis until 22 October 2027.
